The Malik Nasir Ali Khan Nasir Poetry Collection, which includes ten personal journals of handwritten poetry in Persian and Urdu, is forthcoming.
“[This collection] comprises the unpublished poetry of Malik Nasir Ali Khan Nasir, (1901-1986) who came from a notable Persian-speaking family of Peshawar in current day Pakistan. The work contains thousands of verses covering topics such as spirituality, divine love, the tragedy of Kerbala and praise poems for Reza Shah Pahlavi as well as the Nizam of Hyderabad.
Malik Nasir Ali Khan Nasir was the son of a wealthy merchant from Peshawar with business ties extending to Kabul and Central Asia. His family claims descent from the Qajars though it had also had some connection with Kashmir (hence the title 'Malik'). During his lifetime Malik Nasir was known for his poetry and command over Persian and regularly participated in local events." - Syed Aftab Haider, contributor
