Theresa Howard Carter (1929 - 2015) was a distinguished archaeologist and scholar of the Ancient Near East. She received her MA in Anthropology in 1954 from the University of Pennsylvania and her PhD in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College in 1962. From the 1960s to the early 1980s, she led excavations and surveys in Italy, Libya, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Kuwait. This collection contains various ephemera from the archaeologist's travels in Iran and is forthcoming.
